Thursday, August 13, 2026
Chevrolet announced the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X with a base price starting at approximately $75,000, positioning it as a competitor to Porsche 911 models that start around $100,000 or higher. The vehicle features a mid-mounted 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Independent automotive publications have reported acceleration times and handling metrics comparable to entry-level 911 variants at a lower purchase price.
