Rivian is finally getting a long-requested feature — and no, it’s not CarPlay

Rivian announced it will offer second-row captain's chairs as an option for the R1S three-row SUV, replacing the current bench seating in that row. The feature addresses a request that R1S owners have made since the vehicle's launch. Rivian did not specify a pricing, availability date, or which model years would include the option.
