Air India Orders One-Off Drug Test for Its Over 5,000 Pilots

Air India Group announced it will conduct drug screening for more than 5,000 pilots following an incident involving a captain who tested positive for illegal drugs after a Phuket-Delhi flight descended unexpectedly. The screening will occur as a one-time measure across the airline's pilot workforce, according to an internal email. The captain's positive test result was recorded after the mid-air descent occurred.
