Water bills set to rise for many after firms permitted extra funding

Ofwat, the regulator for water services in England and Wales, approved funding requests from 13 water companies that will result in higher customer charges. The companies sought the additional funds to finance infrastructure investments. The approval is provisional and remains subject to final confirmation.
