Police rescue 60 cats and kittens from abandoned sailboat off Washington beach after 6-day operation

Tacoma police conducted a six-day rescue operation at Owens Beach, removing 60 cats from a 40-foot abandoned sailboat. Officers found many of the animals in poor condition. The rescued cats were transferred to local animal care facilities for medical evaluation and treatment.
