Zhu Rongji, China premier crucial to economic transformation, dies at 97

Zhu Rongji, who served as Premier of China from 1998 to 2003, died at age 97. During his tenure, he negotiated China's entry into the World Trade Organization, which was completed in 2001. He also implemented economic reforms affecting China's state-owned enterprises during his time in office.
