Heatwave Slams Europe Straining Energy Supply, E.On CEO Says

Europe is experiencing a fifth heatwave, and high temperatures are affecting energy output. Leonarcos Kuelbs, CEO of E.On, Europe's largest energy provider, said on Bloomberg that wholesale prices have increased due to conditions in the Persian Gulf and elevated gas prices are straining customer affordability. Kuelbs stated that the current hot summer is reducing energy production and creating short-term market distortions.
