Heroic Florida K-9 returns to sheriff's office days after being shot protecting 3 deputies, losing leg

K-9 Ace, a German shepherd with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, returned to the facility after recovering from injuries sustained while protecting three deputies. The dog lost a leg during the incident. Ace has been retired from active duty following the injury.
