Walz, Minnesota Board of Pardons clears convicted illegal alien child sex offender facing deportation

Gov. Tim Walz granted a pardon to Tou Lue Vang, a Laotian citizen, who was convicted of child sexual assault. The Minnesota Board of Pardons and Parole approved the pardon. Under federal immigration law, the pardon renders Vang ineligible for deportation based on the conviction.
