Turkish police beat us with iron rods before we lost limbs to frostbite, Afghans say

Afghan migrants told Reuters and other news organizations that Turkish police beat them with metal rods and left them exposed to freezing temperatures with their hands tied. The migrants said this occurred near Turkey's border with Greece in January 2022. Some of the migrants reported suffering frostbite injuries to their hands and feet following the incident. Turkey's Interior Ministry did not respond to requests for comment on the allegations.
