An unreleased Anthropic model made progress on one of math’s biggest unsolved problems

Anthropic's unreleased model made progress on the Riemann hypothesis, a mathematical problem unsolved for more than 150 years, according to the company. Anthropic did not solve the hypothesis but reported that its model performed better on related mathematical tasks than previously expected. The Riemann hypothesis concerns the distribution of prime numbers and carries a one-million-dollar Clay Mathematics Institute prize for a proof or disproof.
