Cruise fee doubles at vacation hot spot as passengers brace for even steeper hikes

Mexico increased its cruise passenger fee to $10 per person on August 1 at ports including Cabo San Lucas and Cancún, according to the country's port authority. The fee is scheduled to rise incrementally, reaching $21 per passenger by 2028 under a phased tax structure.
