Eli Lilly takes weight-loss pill battle global with first Foundayo approval outside U.S.

Eli Lilly announced that the United Kingdom approved Foundayo, its weight-loss medication. The approval marks the first authorization of Foundayo outside the United States. Novo Nordisk markets Wegovy, a competing weight-loss drug, in the U.K. and other international markets. The U.K. decision expands Lilly's weight-loss product availability beyond the American market.
