A Fight Brews Between Mamdani and Amazon Over Delivery Workers

New York City Mayor Eric Adams proposed that major delivery companies including Amazon hire workers as direct employees instead of using contractors. Amazon and other firms stated the change would increase operational costs and potentially slow delivery times. The proposal has not yet been formally enacted into policy.
