Researchers at NYU Langone Health studied the relationship between three midlife factors and dementia risk later in life. The study examined high blood pressure, diabetes, and smoking. According to the research, avoiding these three conditions in middle age was associated with approximately 13 additional years without dementia. The study's findings were based on analysis of long-term health data from participants followed over multiple decades.
