Ben Jones, 'Dukes of Hazzard' actor and former congressman, dead at 84

Ben Jones, who played mechanic Cooter Davenport on "The Dukes of Hazzard" and served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1989 to 1993, died from a heart attack at age 84, according to an announcement from his wife. Jones represented Georgia's 4th congressional district. He appeared on the television series, which ran from 1979 to 1985, during its original broadcast run.
