Wednesday, July 1, 2026
NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said the agency remains confident in Blue Origin's progress following a launch failure of the company's New Shepard vehicle. Nelson stated, "We've got time into 2027 before we're getting nervous." Blue Origin did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the launch failure or Nelson's assessment. NASA and Blue Origin are working on contracts related to lunar lander development and other space programs.
