Ocean heat records broken as hottest July temperature recorded

Global ocean temperatures in July reached their highest level since records began, according to data tracking agencies. The warming was partially attributed to developing El Niño conditions in the Pacific Ocean. Wildfires were active in western Europe during the same period.
