Drugs and alcohol nearly cost World Series hero Scott Spiezio everything, including his life

Scott Spiezio was hospitalized with liver failure and given a 20% survival probability by doctors. Spiezio had struggled with alcohol and drug use. He underwent treatment and survived. Spiezio won the World Series in 2002 as a member of the Anaheim Angels.
