Anthropic is turning Claude Code’s auto mode on by default

Anthropic enabled auto mode by default in Claude Code, a coding assistant feature that executes code without user confirmation between iterations. The change allows Claude Code to run operations continuously rather than pausing for approval after each step. The feature remains available for users to disable in their settings.
