Basketball Hall of Famer Don Nelson dead at 86

Don Nelson, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame who coached in the NBA for 31 seasons, died at age 86, according to a statement from his family. Nelson coached teams including the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, and New York Knicks during his tenure. He was named NBA Coach of the Year in 1983 and 1985. Nelson also played in the NBA as a forward for 14 seasons across five teams before transitioning to coaching.
