Puerto Rico Rations Water as Drought Deepens

More than 180,000 customers in Puerto Rico are experiencing rotating 48-hour water outages due to severe drought. Resident Commissioner Representative Pablo José Hernández called for a federal emergency declaration to unlock additional assistance. Hernández stated that poor management has worsened the crisis and that Puerto Rico must hold local officials accountable.
