Teen accused of killing Citadel cadet and friend had lengthy rap sheet with little consequences, sheriff says

A 17-year-old suspect charged in the deaths of a Citadel cadet and another person had multiple charges dropped or dismissed since 2021, according to Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood. The suspect's prior charges included arrests dating back several years. Chitwood did not specify the nature of the dismissed charges or the circumstances of each case.
