Xbox testing disc-to-digital feature that digitizes a physical game collection

Microsoft is testing a disc-to-digital feature that would allow Xbox owners to convert physical game discs into digital versions, according to Xbox employees familiar with the project. The feature would enable players to retain access to games they own on disc by registering them digitally. No release date or official announcement has been made. Sony has offered a similar conversion service for PlayStation 5 owners.
