Judge rules Meta caused "public nuisance" and must fund mental health treatment

A New Mexico judge ruled that Meta Platforms caused a public nuisance and ordered the company to establish a $567 million fund for mental health treatment. The judge found that Meta's social media platforms contributed to youth mental health issues in the state. Meta has not announced whether it will appeal the decision.
