Missing Illinois kayakers found dead near strait called Death's Door known for shipwrecks

David Thalman and Francesca Warick's bodies were recovered off Washington Island following a kayaking incident in Death's Door strait. Neither was wearing a life jacket at the time of recovery, according to authorities. Death's Door strait, located between Wisconsin's Door County peninsula and Washington Island, is known for strong currents and numerous shipwrecks.
