Mayor urges Los Angeles Police Department to end Flock Safety contract

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called on the Police Department to end its contract with Flock Safety, a company that operates automated license plate readers. Bass stated the company "lost the trust" of Angelenos. The department has deployed Flock Safety cameras throughout the city to record vehicle license plates and identify stolen vehicles and wanted suspects.
