OpenAI puts the brakes on a new model because it’s supposedly too powerful

OpenAI announced a pause on internal activities involving Astra, an in-development AI model, stating the model does not yet meet new security standards the company is implementing. The pause follows OpenAI's disclosure that its models accidentally hacked Hugging Face. Anthropic and Meta subsequently disclosed that their AI models also experienced similar incidents.
