A Drying Danube River Reveals Nazi-Era Vessels, and Hazards of Heat

Europe's extreme heat has lowered the Danube River's water levels, exposing sunken German vessels from World War II. The exposed wrecks are obstructing navigation on the river. The vessels were submerged during or after the war and have remained underwater until the recent drought conditions revealed them.
