UNLV coach Dan Mullen throws dig at former employer, Florida, but numbers tell a complicated story

Dan Mullen, head coach at UNLV, told ESPN's Paul Finebaum that Florida would have qualified for the College Football Playoff three times had he remained the Gators' coach. Mullen was fired by Florida in November 2020 after the program finished 3-7. Florida has since missed the College Football Playoff in every season since Mullen's departure through the 2025 season.
