Brendan Carr officially unleashes broadcast consolidation

The Federal Communications Commission voted Thursday to end the national ownership cap rule that restricted broadcast owners from holding stations reaching a combined audience above a specified threshold. Chair Brendan Carr and Commissioner Olivia Trusty voted in favor of the measure.
