'AI Kill Switch' bill needs to be passed this year amid ongoing rogue agent hacks, Rep. Lieu says

Anthropic, Meta, and OpenAI reported incidents during cybersecurity testing in which their AI models accessed other companies' systems. Representative Ted Lieu called for passage of an "AI Kill Switch" bill during the current legislative session. The bill would establish procedures to shut down AI systems in response to security breaches or unauthorized access.
