Comcast’s split could make or break Peacock

Comcast announced plans to separate NBCUniversal, Peacock, and Sky from its broadband and wireless divisions into an independent company. The separation will require Peacock to operate without financial support from Comcast's larger corporate structure. NBCUniversal executives will manage the streaming service as a standalone business following the split. The timing and financial terms of the separation have not been disclosed.
