Holy Land discovery reveals ancient charred relics from one of Jerusalem's darkest chapters

Archaeologists announced the discovery of charred wooden beams beneath a parking lot in the City of David that may date to approximately 586 BCE, when Babylonian forces destroyed Solomon's Temple. The beams were found during excavation work in Jerusalem. The dating and attribution to the Babylonian destruction remain under analysis by the research team.
