Senate moves to unshackle America's drivers from California's 'climate zealots'

Senate Republicans introduced legislation to revoke Environmental Protection Agency waivers that grant California authority to set vehicle emissions and gas-powered lawn equipment standards under the Clean Air Act. California has held these waivers since 1970, allowing the state to impose stricter pollution rules than federal requirements.
