‘The Shack’ author expects more Christian criticism with sequel, but will take it in stride

William P. Young, author of "The Shack," said he expects his sequel "Return to the Shack" to receive criticism from Christian readers. Young stated that some Christians practice what he characterizes as fear-based religion. The sequel was released in 2024.
