Rand Paul predicts Fauci contempt vote will pass, vows swift DOJ referral

Senator Rand Paul said votes exist to hold Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, in contempt of Congress after Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment over 100 times during questioning. Paul stated he would refer the matter to the Department of Justice if the contempt vote passes. Fauci invoked his right against self-incrimination when questioned about his communications and decisions related to pandemic response policies.
