Palantir's Karp bashes OpenAI, Anthropic token model: 'Something has gone completely wrong'

Palantir Technologies CEO Alex Karp said token pricing models used by OpenAI and Anthropic have become prohibitively expensive for enterprise customers. Karp stated that high token costs are pushing companies toward open-weight model alternatives and toward prioritizing computational efficiency in their AI deployments. He did not provide specific pricing comparisons or name which competitors' models Palantir views as more cost-effective.
