Five members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) were charged federally with drug trafficking, weapons offenses, and operating a timeshare fraud scheme that targeted seniors, according to the Department of Justice. The fraud operation resulted in approximately $400 million in losses, the DOJ stated.
