Soros network targets deep-red Mississippi in bid to flip Senate seat

Scott Colom, the Democratic candidate challenging Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith in Mississippi, has received support from organizations linked to George Soros and Senator Elizabeth Warren. Colom is a prosecutor and former state representative running in a state where Republicans have won recent statewide elections by large margins. Hyde-Smith was first appointed to the Senate in 2018 and won election in 2020.
