Jacek Smolicki leads guided listening tours through Central Park, demonstrating how sound travels through tree roots and other natural phenomena. During a recent tour, he amplified the scraping sounds made by aquatic snails to show a reporter the acoustic properties of park environments. Smolicki uses these walks to teach participants about environmental sound awareness.
