D-Wave on rails: Company tests entanglement on its dual-rail qubits

D-Wave Systems has begun testing entanglement capabilities on its dual-rail qubit architecture, expanding beyond its established quantum annealing systems. The company is developing gate-based quantum hardware in addition to its existing annealer products. D-Wave has not announced specific performance metrics or timelines for commercial deployment of the gate-based system.
