Google just announced a major shakeup of its top AI leadership

Demis Hassabis, head of Google DeepMind, will become chair of Google DeepMind and chief scientist at Alphabet, CEO Sundar Pichai announced Wednesday. Hassabis will continue leading Alphabet's Isomorphic Labs, which develops pharmaceuticals using artificial intelligence.
