Trump: Strait 'Partially Opened Anyway,' 'We Control the Strait,' If It's Totally Open, Gas Will Fall to $2.50

President Donald Trump said during a Tuesday Fox News interview that the Strait of Hormuz is "partially opened anyway" and that "we control the strait, totally." Trump stated that if the strait were completely open, gasoline prices would fall to $2.50 per gallon. The Strait of Hormuz is a strategic waterway between Iran and Oman through which a significant portion of global oil shipments pass.
