Federal appeals court clears way for DeSantis-backed law restricting children at some drag shows

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 8-5 that Hamburger Mary's, a restaurant and bar, did not demonstrate a likelihood of success in its First Amendment challenge to Florida's law restricting children at certain drag performances. The ruling allows the law to proceed while the legal challenge continues. Hamburger Mary's had sought to block enforcement of the law before trial.
