Sony is killing all physical PlayStation game discs

Sony announced it will end production of physical discs for new PlayStation games starting January 2028. Games released before that date will continue to be available on disc. New releases from January 2028 forward will be distributed only through digital storefronts including the PlayStation Store and other retailers.
