Kentucky child killer walks free as family says justice failed despite years of legal fights

Ronald Exantus was released after serving his sentence for a 2015 home invasion in Kentucky in which 6-year-old Logan Tipton was killed. The release occurred despite legislative reforms known as Logan's Law that were enacted following the case. Logan Tipton's family opposed the release. Exantus's sentence completion resulted in his discharge under Kentucky law.
