AMD’s datacenter business is booming while gaming takes a backseat

AMD's data center revenue reached $6.7 billion in its latest earnings report, up from $5.8 billion in the previous quarter and 107 percent higher than $3.2 billion in the same quarter a year earlier. Gaming revenue declined 31 percent during the same period. The company attributed the data center growth to demand for AI capacity.
