Senate Democrats say banks turned blind eye to suspicious moves by Jeffrey Epstein
Tuesday, August 4, 2026
Senate Democrats released a report accusing major banks of failing to report suspicious financial activity by Jeffrey Epstein until after his 2019 arrest. The report alleged that banks did not file required suspicious activity reports for transfers connected to Epstein during the period before his arrest. Epstein died in jail in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
