Chris Bosh, a former NBA player who retired early due to a pulmonary embolism in 2014, said he nearly died from the condition and warned Victor Wembanyama about the risks of deep vein thrombosis. Bosh experienced a blood clot in his lungs that ended his playing career with the Miami Heat. Wembanyama, a current NBA player, was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in 2024 and missed games during treatment.
